Driving in Burundi. Ain’t no thang.
Bikes are everywhere here. Everywhere. But the hills are too. So bicyclists just latch onto the back of semis (whose drivers they pay a small fee) and … off they go.

This American is so not an idiot.
To tell you about my trip to Malawi, I need to start with my exit from Burundi. You see, it initially ended rather abruptly — very much due to my own mistake. This American (as well as two others that I ran my itinerary by) naturally treated 01:25 as 1:25 in the afternoon — not the morning.
So my first journey to the Bujumbura airport was greeted with laughter as the soldiers out...
