Day 3 of looking taking photos of myself and looking awkward … I mean, my self-proclaimed market-challenge.

The (almost) entirely 100%-market ensemble:

promod dress (An excellent gift from my friend Jeff, found in the Bujumbura market. It originally came with a bubble hem, but let’s face it — that looks flattering on no one — so Adoh removed it. Also, the built-in layer means you don’t sweat through your dress — maybe a little gross, but necessary here.)

H&M patent leather black belt (snagged from the closet of Cori)

black ballet flats (Courtesy of the shoe market near Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.)

Freshy Fig horse shoe necklace (The very best jewelry in the entire world is from Portland, OR!)

Rose earrings (Forevs 21)

P.S. Oh, yeah — that second awkward shot is the result of Cori telling me that pigeon-toed-looking-down pose is all the rage. Also, shot four demonstrates why accessories don’t work here. Chauncey eats them.
